Kia India has launched the Kia Carens Kalvis EV, its first 7-seater electric vehicle made for Indian roads. The launch date was July 22, 2025, kicking off bookings with a ₹25,000 prebooking amount. This electric MPV combines cutting-edge technology with space and style, offering a new option for electric family cars.

The Carens Kalvis EV boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A panoramic sunroof and premium leather seats enhance cabin comfort. It has advanced safety features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control (ESC). The adaptive cruise control and advanced driver assistance systems provide support on long drives. Spaciousness doesn’t compromise as it offers 7 seats for families comfortably.

Kia Carens Kalvis EV Specifications and Performance

The Carens Kalvis EV offers two battery pack options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The smaller battery delivers a range of up to 404 km, while the larger one offers up to 490 km on a single charge (MIDC cycle). Both versions come with fast charging, filling from 10% to 80% within 39 minutes on 100 kW DC chargers. Electric motors generate 126 kW (171 PS) of power and 255 Nm torque, ensuring spirited performance and smooth acceleration.
