Tata Punch SUV facelift has been spotted testing ahead of its official launch, hinting at substantial changes for the ever-popular micro SUV. Tata aims to keep the Punch competitive in India’s bustling compact SUV segment. Spy shots confirm updates inspired by the Punch EV and Nexon, promising a bold road presence and improved tech for everyday use.
Tata Punch Facelift Exterior Redesign and Spied Changes
Tata Motors is giving the Punch facelift a stronger, more modern look. Test mules feature a flatter tailgate, a new connected LED taillight bar, and bold blacked-out alloy wheels. The rear wiper washer, roof rails, and shark-fin antenna are also visible. The new Y-shaped grille design, along with projector headlamps and squared wheel arches, keep the Punch’s original rugged DNA intact.

Though the overall shape is familiar, subtle tweaks in the bumpers and side claddings make the new Punch look fresh. Updated C-pillars with integrated door handles and premium alloy wheel options add to this compact SUV’s urban appeal.
Interior Upgrades and Tech Features: Tata Punch Facelift
Inside the facelifted Punch, buyers will find a cleaner, more advanced cabin. The new two-spoke steering wheel sports an illuminated Tata logo, while the dashboard houses a larger, floating 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Tata upgrades materials throughout the cabin and adds touch-based controls for a futuristic vibe.
Expect new seat upholstery, a 7-inch TFT digital driver display, and thoughtful storage upgrades. Safety is stronger too, with features like six airbags, ESP, a blind spot monitor, and a 360-degree camera system across variants. Tata also promises rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and fast USB charging in higher trims.
Engine, Powertrain Choices, and Launch Timeline
Under the hood, the Punch facelift continues with the proven 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine. This unit pushes out 87.8 hp and can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. Tata offers a CNG option for buyers seeking more efficiency, with 73.5 hp mated to a manual transmission.

Expect pricing to go up slightly, with estimates suggesting a bump by ₹30,000-₹50,000 over the current range. Tata Punch facelift’s launch is anticipated in the festive season of 2025, with direct rivals being Hyundai Exter and Maruti Ignis.
